Baltimore Ravens running back Bernard Pierce was carjacked at gunpoint on Sunday, according to a report from Walt Hunter of CBS Philly. Pierce and a male passenger were robbed and Pierce's car was stolen, but neither were hurt during the incident.

According to the report, the incident happened Sunday night in Philadelphia. A gunman reportedly jumped from a car and robbed Pierce and the male passenger before making off with Pierce’s BMW. Police recovered the car in another part of Philadelphia and processed it for evidence. Pierce and the other passenger were shaken, according to the report, but neither were harmed.

Pierce, a backup running back for the Ravens, played college football at Temple University in Philadelphia. Contacted by CBS Philly, the Ravens issued a statement saying they had been in contact with Pierce and were aware of the situation. Police are still attempting to identify the robbers.

The incident comes less than a month after Pittsburgh’s Mike Adams was stabbed during an attempted carjacking in Pittsburgh.
