Victor Cruz is not in talks for his own reality show. The New York Giants wide receiver denied previous reports via Twitter, of course, early Monday afternoon.
Victor Cruz denies reality television show plans
The Giants wide receiver says he’s got a higher calling than unscripted TV or football, apparently.

This is truly God testing me for something much bigger. Never EVER doing a reality show. Nor am I in talks for one. #NYmediaboredom

The New York Daily News reported that Cruz was developing a reality show. The report even quoted Cruz himself who said this about the process:
”It is going to be something that is very unique to me and very unique to what I like, and like to do.
“We are still fielding some requests, so we will see how it goes - the timing has to be right, and I have got to squeeze in some training in there before the season starts.”
You’re probably as confused as I am. The Daily News article, filled with television producer-type quotes from Cruz himself, sure makes it sound like he’s got at least a concept for a show. A show that follows a professional athlete sure sounds interesting ... not really. You know some exec thought the whole “salsa” thing was just brilliant, right about the time Sunday Night Football forced us to watch it for the 112th time.
Maybe a show would shed some light on his contract talks with the Giants, which are going nowhere quicker than the receiver’s television plans.
Apparently, God has much bigger plans for Cruz than reality television (a scripted drama maybe?).
If there’s any positive for Giants fans, besides a player having one less distraction, it’s Cruz acknowledging that he needs to “squeeze” in some workouts before the seasons starts. A man has to keep his priorities straight after all.
