Andre Smith missed the Cincinnati Bengals’ OTAs yet again on Monday. The right tackle has missed all seven of the team’s OTAs and has told the team that he has been absent because he is dealing with personal issues.
Andre Smith still absent from Bengals OTAs
The Bengals’ newly re-signed right tackle missed his seventh OTA.

The team has not made a big fuss about Smith’s absence with head coach Marvin Lewis pointing out that the practices are voluntary, while also insisting that there are no conditioning concerns with Smith.
Anthony Collins has been getting Smith's snaps at right tackle, but Smith isn't the lone Bengals offensive line starter missing. Andrew Whitworth is also out as he recovers from knee surgery, leaving Cincinnati without either of their starting tackles.
Smith was a free agent this summer and did not re-sign with the Bengals until after the NFL Draft, but they have not seen him since he signed his new three-year, $18 million deal. Smith has a workout bonus in his contract, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer, that he is not fulfilling by missing OTAs, which will cost him $100,000.
