Webb, who is 27 years old, has been in the league for five seasons and has tallied eight interceptions. He was emerging as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL before suffering the knee injury that ended his season prematurely.
The return of a healthy Webb is crucial for a Baltimore secondary that figures to be a bit inexperienced next season. Webb will be among the veterans in a group that will include first-round picks Matt Elam and Jimmy Smith. Webb reportedly looked solid in individual drills and minicamp, and coach John Harbaugh isn't worried about him heading into training camp.
