Houston Texans left tackle Duane Brown is undergoing surgery on his ankle Wednesday morning to clean up bone spurs, according to Tania Ganguli.

However, the surgery won’t be any kind of a long-term issue per Ganguli. Brown should easily be ready for training camp, which doesn’t start until the end of July.
Brown is one of the better offensive linemen in the game, doing a terrific job paving the way for running back Arian Foster and protecting the blind side of quarterback Matt Schaub.
To make another run into the postseason and perhaps to the franchise’s first-ever Super Bowl appearance, Brown needs to be at full strength.
The 27-year old out of Virginia Tech made second-team All-Pro in 2011 and followed that campaign with a first-team All-Pro selection last year, also making his first pro bowl. He is currently entering the second year of a six-year, $53 million contract he signed in August of 2012.
