The Jacksonville Jaguars are in full rebuild mode, which is why it makes plenty of sense to start a youngster like Dwayne Gratz at corner from day one. According to the Florida Times-Union, this is exactly what the plan is for first-year head coach Gus Bradley and Co.
Dwayne Gratz expected to start for Jaguars right away
Gratz is a talented young corner who is likely to start immediately.

Gratz comes in as a rookie out of UConn, taken in the third round. The Jaguars only have one cornerback on the roster with any true credentials in Marcus Trufant, leaving the door wide open for Gratz.
At UConn, Gratz played a ton of press coverage and excelled at it, something he likely will be seeing plenty more of under Bradley, who employs a very aggressive style of defense. At 5’11” and 200 pounds, Gratz is certainly large enough at the corner spot to creep up onto the line of scrimmage and cause issues for receivers on the outside.
The 23-year-old made the All-Big East teams in 2011 and 2012 before entering the NFL draft following his senior season.
