The Seattle Seahawks are never afraid to go against conventional wisdom with head coach Pete Carroll running the show, proving that last season by starting a rookie at quarterback who was picked in the third round over a much-ballyhooed free agent pickup.
Christine Michael taking first team reps for Seahawks
Michael is seeing plenty of first-team action in the offseason program for Pete Carroll and Seattle.

So when rookie running back Christine Michael was reported to be working out with the first team while veteran star Marshawn Lynch was getting in his reps with the second and third teams, according to the Seattle Times, it raised eyebrows.
However, this is nothing more than Lynch getting an easier day while Michael draws the duty of filling in for the man who loves Skittles. Per the Times:
“He had a nice day today,” Carroll said. “He got a little running room, made a couple of moves. He’s in really good shape. We’re trying to get him all the way through this off-season and get him ready for the real season”
Michael could certainly be used in some capacity this season with his pass-catching abilities out of the backfield. However, barring injury, he won’t be taking over the top spot on the depth chart anytime soon.
