Cincinnati Bengals fullback Chris Pressley may start the 2013 season on the physically unable to perform list as he tries to bounce back from a late season knee injury, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He still isn't sure whether he will be able to participate in training camp. If Pressley is on the PUP list when training camp closes, he will be forced to sit out the Bengals' first six games, per NFL rules.

Pressley has earned steady playing time as a lead blocker in the Bengals' running game since re-joining the team in 2010. He was on the team in 2009, and was highlighted when HBO's Hard Knocks was profiling the Bengals that offseason. Pressley told the Enquirer that the attention allowed him to get noticed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that season.

“They are not going to see how much I played from watching Hard Knocks, because you have to still look at film and see if this kid is worth it, but just from seeing the way he portrays himself, he conducts himself in a nice way and he’s saying the right things, doing the right things,” he said. “It definitely gave me a little bit more of an upside. Any sort of competitive advantage is what you need.”

With Hard Knocks returning to Cincinnati this summer, Pressley said that he will be welcoming the cameras once again. Though his roster spot should be safer than it was four years ago, Pressley’s recovery could make for engrossing television.
