The Miami Dolphins are interested in signing fullback Vonta Leach, and the two parties are expected to negotiate once Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland returns from vacation, Miami Herald columnist Armando Salguero reported Friday.
Vonta Leach rumors: FB, Dolphins will reportedly negotiate once Jeff Ireland returns from vacation
It’s hard to see sometimes, but NFL general managers are real people who take real vacations, too.

Leach, a free agent who was on the Baltimore Ravens the last two seasons, wants a two- or three-year deal, Salguero said, and thinks the future is bright enough in Miami to warrant signing there.
The fullback, who will turn 32 in November, has played for the Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans and Ravens in his nine-year career. He qualified for the Pro Bowl last season but did not play because of the game's situation in the week between the conference championship games and Super Bowl XLVII, which the Ravens won.
Among other suitors, the New York Giants are still in play for Leach's services while the Giants weigh the season-opening availability of fullback Henry Hynoski, Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger reported Thursday.
