While the majority of NFL news in the last month has been somewhat negative due to off-the-field issues, real football news is starting to trickle in. On Friday, Jaguars owner Shahid Khan made quite the splash overseas, while Chip Kelly weighed in on his quarterback situation and Alfonzo Dennard's people offered a defense of the cornerback.

It’s official. After a week of speculation surrounding Jaguars owner Shad Khan and the sale of Fulham Football Club. The deal is estimated to be worth between £150 and £200 million. While it will likely fuel even more Jaguars-to-London speculation, Khan sent an email to season ticket holders on Friday assuring them that his commitment to the Jaguars and to Jacksonville remains unchanged. A press conference is expected on Saturday.
After being taken into police custody for suspicion of driving under the influence early Thursday morning, the news for Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was a bit more positive on Friday. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported that while Dennard's breathalyzer tests were not up to police standards, he did blow a number under the legal limit. He took a field sobriety test but was not asked to take a blood test.
Chip Kelly is entering his first season as the Philadelphia Eagles' head coach, and he will have a tough decision to make right out of the gate. The team will have a three-way battle for the starting quarterback job between Michael Vick, Nick Foles and Matt Barkley. Kelly said he's not ready to make a decision on the matter just yet, though.
