Ryan Clady contract: Broncos offer deal worth $52.5 million, per report

The clock is running out for the Denver Broncos to sign Ryan Clady to a long-term deal, and the team is showing an extra $500,000 per year in interest.

Stew Milne-US PRESSWIRE

The Denver Broncos have increased their offer to left tackle Ryan Clady up to $52.5 million over five seasons, ESPN.com reports. The deal would guarantee three years and $33 million for the 26-year-old, according to Mile High Report.

The Broncos placed the francise tag on Clady prior to the start of free agency, meaning the team is running out of time to sign him to a long-term deal. If Clady does not take the contract by Monday, the team will only be able to sign him to a one-year deal. The franchise tag guarantees Clady a salary of at least $9.8 million for 2013.

Clady rejected a $50 million dollar offer following the 2012 season, choosing instead to play out the last year of his rookie contract for $3.5 million and see what value an additional season would bring. He played in all 16 games for Denver and allowed only one sack.
