NFL Huddle: Carlos Dunlap gets paid, Forbes ranks the NFL teams

The franchise tag deadline has come and gone with just one player -- the Broncos’ Ryan Clady -- inking a long-term deal, the Bengals surprising a few folks with a long-term deal for Carlos Dunlap and lots more from SB Nation’s NFL blogs on Tuesday.

The deadline for franchise tag players to ink long-term deals came and went on Monday afternoon. Only Ryan Clady ended up signing a deal with the Broncos. The rest -- including the Bills' Jairus Byrd -- saw no action.

There were two important happenings in Cincinnati on Monday. First, DE Michael Johnson did not come to an agreement on a long-term deal with the Bengals ahead of Monday’s deadline, despite a reported five-year, $40 million offer. Second, after Johnson reportedly declined that deal, the Bengals paid Carlos Dunlap to the tune of $40 million over six years.

The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable NFL team, according to Forbes.
