The Atlanta Falcons have come to an agreement with their 2013 first-round pick, cornerback Desmond Trufant out of the University of Washington. The Falcons traded up to take Trufant with the 22nd-overall pick.
Atlanta Falcons sign Desmond Trufant
After months of waiting, the Falcons have officially come to terms with their top pick. Will he be able to fill the void left by the departure of another former first-round pick?

Trufant will do his best to replace the departed Dunta Robinson, the former top-10 pick that spent the last three years as Atlanta's top corner. The Falcons allowed the fewest touchdown passes in the NFL last season, but were 23rd in passing yards allowed. As the Washington Huskies' top cornerback last season, Trufant was named first-team All-Pac-12 and Washington allowed the 23rd-fewest passing yards per game in the nation.
The Falcons now have all of their 2013 draft picks under contract.
