With training camp set to begin Friday, the Minnesota Vikings have been hard at work finalizing contracts for their 2013 draft class, inking deals with their trio of first-round picks on Thursday morning. The team has officially announced the signings of defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, cornerback Xavier Rhodes and wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson. The terms of the deals remain undisclosed.
Vikings sign 1st-round picks Sharrif Floyd, Xavier Rhodes and Cordarrelle Patterson
Sharrif Floyd, Xavier Rhodes and Cordarrelle Patterson are all officially Minnesota Vikings after inking deals Thursday morning.

Floyd's signing was the first announcement of the morning. The 23rd overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, Floyd is a 300-pounder out of Florida adept at providing interior run-support on the defensive line. He logged 46 tackles, 13 of those for loss, in his final season in Gainesville, earning All-American honors in the process. He then decided to forgo his senior year of eligibility in order to enter the 2013 draft.
Rhodes, the 25th overall pick, projects to become the Vikings’ starting corner in his rookie season. He tied for the team lead in interceptions at Florida State in 2013 before entering the draft as a junior.
Patterson, taken 29th overall, is an explosive, big-play threat at the receiver position. He'll be expected to contribute opposite the newly acquired Greg Jennings, who the Vikings wooed away from the division rival Green Bay Packers earlier in the offseason. Minnesota is hoping the addition of Patterson and Jennings will help offset the loss of All-Pro Percy Harvin, who was traded away to the Seattle Seahawks as part of a blockbuster deal that landed the Vikings one of their extra 2013 first round picks.
