The San Francisco 49ers placed wide receiver Michael Crabtree on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and wide receiver Kyle Williams was activated from the same list, the team announced Thursday.
49ers injury news: Michael Crabtree placed on PUP list, Kyle Williams activated
Williams is back on the field eight months after tearing his ACL.

The move was expected for Crabtree, who suffered a torn Achilles in May. His rehab from the injury has reportedly been going well, but the timetable for a return — hopefully during the season for San Francisco — is still unclear.
Williams, who is heading into his fourth season with the 49ers after he was taken in the sixth round of the 2010 draft out of Arizona State, played in 11 games last season. He caught 14 passes for 212 yards and one touchdown, and he also returned 13 kickoffs for a 27.2-yard average. He tore his ACL on Nov. 25, 2012, in a 49ers win over the New Orleans Saints.
San Francisco also placed defensive tackle Lamar Divens on the non-football injury list. Linebacker Darius Fleming was activated from the PUP list.
