There won’t be any holdouts among rookies in New York Giants’ training camp: After first-round pick Justin Pugh signed his rookie contract Thursday, his college teammate, quarterback Ryan Nassib, quickly followed suit.
Giants sign Ryan Nassib, all rookies signed heading into training camp
The Giants reached a deal with Eli Manning’s likely backup, Ryan Nassib, the final player picked after the first round who still had yet to sign a rookie contract.

With Giants’ training camp beginning on Friday, Nassib was the last remaining player selected after the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft who hadn’t yet reached a rookie deal with his team. But now he’s in the fold, ready to begin work as Eli Manning’s backup.
As Big Blue View wrote, Nassib is expected to beat out David Carr for role of the Giants’ second-string signal-caller. The real question is whether or not the Giants intend to keep Carr on the roster as a third quarterback, something they haven’t done since the 2007 season.
The Giants traded up to select Nassib, who was starting quarterback for new Bills head coach Doug Marrone for three seasons. Last year, he threw for 3,749 yards, completing 62.4 percent of his passes with 26 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Between Pugh -- who is competing for a right tackle spot -- and Nassib, the Giants picked up two players from Tom Coughlin’s alma mater.
