Eric Fisher, the 2013 No. 1 overall pick, has reached a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to NBC Sports. Though he heard his name called first back in April, he is one of the last first-rounders to sign his rookie contract.

The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms on a contract with the No. 1 pick of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Specific terms of the agreement are forthcoming, but reports indicate that Fisher is currently en route to Chiefs training camp, where he will sign the contract and participate in practice Friday afternoon.

In a draft class light on elite offensive skill positions, Kansas City made Fisher the top pick in an attempt to bolster an already strong young offensive front. Fisher joins franchise left tackle Branden Albert, second-year guard Jeff Allen and third-year center Rodney Hudson on a formidable line that Rotoworld ranked as the 11th best in the NFL for 2013.
Surprising athletic for his 6’7, 304-pound frame, Fisher is a strong pass blocker and dominant run bulldozer who exhibits both the physical tools to handle NFL defenses and the mental skills to diagnose and react to them. In his senior season at Central Michigan, Fisher anchored a line that averaged 6.2 yards-per-play and allowed just 14 sacks all year.
