Ben Roethlisberger wants to surpass Terry Bradshaw

The Steelers current quarterback wants to break Bradshaw’s mark of four Super Bowl rings.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Ben Roethlisberger has two Super Bowl rings to his name, but he surely isn't satisfied. Speaking in London to draw attention to the Pittsburgh Steelers international game this season against the Minnesota Vikings, Big Ben had a poignant comment, according to ESPN.com, tweeted by Burt Lauten.

Roethlisberger has been one of the most successful quarterbacks in league history already, capturing two championships under Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin. The only other quarterbacks in the Super Bowl era to win under two different coaches are Joe Montana under Bill Walsh and George Seifert, and Troy Aikman with Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer.

At 31, Roethlisberger has some work to do should he pass Bradshaw, who along with Montana are the only two signal-callers to win four Super Bowls. Only Tom Brady and John Elway played in five, with Brady having three titles compared to Elway's two.

In his four Super Bowl wins, Bradshaw was named the MVP twice. Roethlisberger is yet to win that honor, watching it go to wide receivers Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes.
