Former Tampa Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts tight end Dallas Clark intends to play in 2013 and may be close to signing a contract, according to Adam Schefter.
Dallas Clark intends to play in 2013, deal is close
The 34-year old is giving it another try this season.

Clark played all 16 games in 2012, catching 47 passes for 435 yards and four touchdowns. All of those totals were improvements over Clark’s final two seasons in Indianapolis, which were cut short by injuries.
The 34-year old tight end has over 5,000 career receiving yards and 50 touchdowns in 10 seasons. His production has dropped off quite a bit since his 100-catch season in 2009, but Clark proved last year that he can still play.
Based on Schefter’s report, there is enough interest in Clark for him to find his way into training camp this week. Provided he’s healthy, he could provide a team with solid depth at tight end. It’s tough to say how much he has left in the tank, but Clark is still hungry to play and make an impact.
