Clark played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season, recording 47 receptions for 435 yards and four touchdowns. He previously spent nine seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, enjoying his best years catching passes from Peyton Manning. The Buccaneers let him test free agency, but there was no market for the 34-year-old until training camp started.
The Ravens have been desperate for help at the tight end position. Dennis Pitta is out for the year with a dislocated hip, and Ed Dickson is dealing with a hamstring injury. Clark is expected to compete with Visanthe Shiancoe and Billy Bajema for reps until Dickson is healthy again. The Ravens also signed 37-year-old Brandon Stokley to help replace some of the production vacated by Anquan Boldin.
