The Philadelphia Eagles added some wide receiver depth on Monday, trading for Jeff Maehl from Houston. In return, the Texans received offensive lineman Nate Menkin, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.

The Eagles and Texans pulled off a trade on Monday, swapping players both teams are familiar with.

Philadelphia was low on wide receiver depth after losing Jeremy Maclin and Arrelious Benn for the season due to knee injuries. Jeff Maehl was behind several receivers in Houston and will reunite with his former college coach in Philadelphia. Maehl was a freshman at Oregon when Chip Kelly took over as the Ducks' offensive coordinator. He's been with the Texans on-and-off since going undrafted in 2011. He appeared in three games for Houston, while also spending time on the practice squad.
Menkin spent the entire 2012 season on Philadelphia’s active roster, but didn’t appear in a game. He signed with Houston as an undrafted free agent last offseason. The Texans released him in the final cuts during training camp and Philadelphia claimed him. Menkin has played both guard and tackle during his career.
