Joe McKnight was carted off the Jets practice field wearing an oxygen mask, but the running back appears to be alright following the incident, according to a report from the Associated Press.
Joe McKnight ‘OK’ after being carted off, according to report
There was a scary situation at Jets practice on Monday, when Joe McKnight was carted off the field after falling to the ground during a drill.

McKnight reportedly fell to the field during a drill on Monday, before being carted off. That came after he dropped to a knee three times on his way to the field. McKnight was examined by trainers prior to practice and poured water over his head before jogging off. Jets head coach Rex Ryan said McKnight would not have been on the field had there been any concern about his condition.
“For whatever reason, he stopped or whatever and that’s fine,” Ryan said. “There’s no chance any player would be on the field if the trainers or doctors felt that it wasn’t safe for that person to be there.”
According to the report, McKnight went down during practice after diving for a pass. Trainers examined him for a few minutes, looking at his leg, before taking him off in a cart. McKnight has had issues with migraines before during his career, including lat last season.
The Jets didn’t provide a further update on McKnight’s condition, although he did return to the sidelines wearing street clothes and dark sunglasses to watch the end of practice.
