Ahmad Bradshaw signed with the Indianapolis Colts this offseason, and looked to take over the starting running job. He had been sidelined due to offseason foot surgery, but is now able to begin practicing with the team as Bradshaw was activated from the physically unable to perform list, according to ESPN.

Bradshaw will compete with Vick Ballard, who had an up-and-down 2012 season. His 3.9 yards per carry didn't give the Colts' front office much reason to believe in the former 5th round pick, who rushed for 100 yards just once in his rookie season.
Colts owner Jim Irsay took to Twitter to publicly announce his displeasure in the team's first preseason game -- which they lost 44-20 against the Buffalo Bills. Six Colts' running backs combined for just 75 yards in the loss, with Ballard looking the best of a poor group.
It's expected Bradshaw will easily win the starting running back job if healthy. He's coming off a 1,000 season with the New York Giants, his second in three years. The 27-year-old back may be the elder statesman when the participates in camp, but he's easily the most skilled rusher the Colts have.
