The NFL is regulating how face masks can look, forcing certain players to change their style. That ruling doesn't apply to Justin Tuck of the New York Giants, however, according to the New York Daily News.

Tuck can keep his exotic face mask since it’s for a medical reason, but others will be forced to change their look.

Tuck doesn’t have a normal face mask because his features a multitude of bars going both horizontally and vertically. The reasoning for that is Tuck’s face mask also protects his neck, an area of his body that has caused him physical issues in the past.
“They actually didn’t ban mine,” Tuck said. “Mine wasn’t a fashion statement, some people told me. I did mine as a necessity. So I think as of right now, I’ll still be wearing that facemask.”
Recently, the NFL has issued a mandate to teams, reminding them that face masks must not have any more than the standard-issue four horizontal bars and three vertical bars. A few players who will have to turn in their tricked-out grills include Robert Mathis, Brian Orakpo, DeMarcus Ware and Darnell Dockett.
Another player who has been allowed to keep his customized mask is Chris Canty of the Baltimore Ravens, according to SI.com. Canty, who injured his eye back in 2005 during a bar fight, was the first player to popularize the face mask actually being legislated by the league.
