Houston Texans wide receiver DeVier Posey is close to coming off the active/PUP list, nearly seven months removed from an Achilles tear. Head coach Gary Kubiak says Posey could rejoin the team as soon as next week.
DeVier Posey set to rejoin Texans soon
DeVier Posey is almost recovered from his torn Achilles tendon and is set to rejoin the Texans soon.

Posey tore his Achilles in the Texans' playoff loss to the New England Patriots. He did running and agility drills during spring OTAs and minicamps, but has yet to be cleared for team practices. Posey's speedy recovery is surprising the Texans, who didn't expect to have him back by the start of the regular season.
A third-round pick out of Ohio State in 2012, Posey played in 11 games his rookie year, recording six catches for 87 yards. His fast recovery from Achilles surgery has been remarkable, but he still has an uphill battle for playing time. He's currently behind DeAndre Hopkins, Keshawn Martin and Lestar Jean on the depth chart.
