Donovan McNabb says Redskins asked him to contact Robert Griffin III; Washington denies it
McNabb is just trying to help, or so he says.

In a radio interview with LaVar Arington, McNabb said that he was solicited by the Washington Redskins about getting in touch with Robert Griffin III and giving him advice. But the Redskins never reached out to McNabb, according to John Keim of ESPN.
McNabb said he has talked to Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Vince Young and Jason Campbell, all African-American quarterbacks, about the challenges that come with that. McNabb was hoping to share some of his wisdom with Griffin, but the second-year quarterback declined.
“I don’t think Donovan is an idiot by any means,” Griffin told GQ. “But right now, it’s probably best we don’t talk.”
While McNabb has said some questionable things about the Redskins, he insists he is not bitter about how things ended in Washington or any of the other stops in his NFL career, saying he’s moved on from each one.
