Jason Pinkston injury: Browns G hurts right ankle, carted off sideline
Jason Pinkston had to be carted into the Browns’ locker room from the sideline after injuring his ankle during Thursday’s preseason game.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Pinkston will miss the rest of Thursday's game after leaving in the first quarter. He has been replaced in the lineup by Garrett Gilkey, per Cabot. The Browns can ill afford having Pinkston miss extensive playing time. They are already dealing with the absence of Shawn Lauvao, who will miss part of the regular season to recover from ankle surgery.
Pinkston is entering his third season in the NFL after being drafted by the Browns in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He missed 10 games last season while dealing with life threatening blood clots in his lungs.
