The New York Jets took down the Jacksonville Jaguars, 37-13, on Saturday, in preseason action. Mark Sanchez played OK as New York's starting quarterback, but the Jets definitely won on the back of a productive running game.
Jaguars vs. Jets final score: New York dominated in 37-13 win
The New York Jets dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, winning 37-13.

Kahlil Bell carried the ball 11 times and only managed 29 yards, but he had a pair of touchdowns as the short-yardage back. All together, the Jets put up 176 yards on the ground, compared to Jacksonville's 98.
Sanchez finished having completed 13 of 23 passes for 169 yards, with a touchdown and interception. Geno Smith did not make it into the game after suffering an ankle injury and putting up several bad showings in practice this week.
Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert played well for the second straight week, completing 13 of 16 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown. Gabbert is the favorite to win the starting job over Chad Henne, but he did suffer a sprained thumb on his throwing hand during the game. Gabbert was leaving the game when the injury occurred regardless, though the severity of the sprain is unknown
Did they cover?
The Jets opened as 3.5-point favorites, though the line moved to about 2.5 points on most books as the week progressed. They obviously covered.
What’s next?
The Jets will return home to take on the New York Giants in an "away" game on Aug. 24. The Jaguars will take on the Philadelphia Eagles at home on the same day.
