The New York Giants had quite the scare on Sunday night when Victor Cruz left the team's 20-12 loss to the Colts with a foot injury. He got X-rays, which came back negative, and it was determined that Cruz had only suffered a bruised heel.
NFL roundup: Quinton Coples to have surgery, Victor Cruz leaves game with injury
One New York team got lucky with an injury, the other did not.

Disaster averted in that case, but other teams around the league haven’t been quite as lucky. Here’s a look at what you might have missed on Sunday.
Andrew Luck helped put the Colts in the preseason win column on Sunday night, passing for just over 100 yards and two touchdowns in limited action. His performance gave the Colts a 20-6 lead at halftime, and Indianapolis never looked back. Among the injuries in the game, were a bruised heel for Cruz and knee sprains to Giants center David Baas and Colts tight end Coby Fleener.
Quinton Coples suffered an ankle injury against the Jaguars on Saturday night, and the Jets announced on Sunday that the injury would require surgery. Coples was expected to miss 3-4 weeks before the announcement of a medical procedure to prepare the injury. He will miss the remainder of the preseason and is out indefinitely.
Miami Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller is out for the season after suffering a knee injury on a hit from Texans rookie safety D.J. Swearinger. The rookie immediately took to Twitter to apologize to Keller, saying he didn't have any intent to injure. He later said that he went low to avoid a possible fine for making a high hit, something he was known for in college. Maybe Swearinger can start aiming for the midsection from now on.
