The Houston Texans are hoping running back Arian Foster will be ready to return soon, but he could be delayed as Foster continues to deal with disc irritation in his back, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Head coach Gary Kubiak revealed Sunday that Foster is also suffering from leg pain as a result.
Arian Foster injury: Texans star dealing with disc irritation in his back
Houston’s star running back is still aiming for a Week One return.

Foster ran for over 1,400 yards last year, scoring 17 total touchdowns for the Texans. Houston isn’t looking to hurry back its star rusher. The organization is familiar with injury as it pertains to Foster, who was sidelined in 2011. He hurried back, aggravated the injury and missed the first three games of the regular season.
Ben Tate has been the Texans' primary back with Foster out. He carried the ball just four times in Saturday's preseason game against the Miami Dolphins. Tate is entering a contract year, posing a tough decision for Houston's front office.
Foster has been unable to practice since Houston’s OTAs. He will remain on the preseason PUP list until the team needs to make a final determination closer to the start of the regular season.
