Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle and first-round pick Sharrif Floyd will miss the remainder of the preseason after undergoing a minor procedure on his knee, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Floyd, the No. 23 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, suffered a knee injury in the team's first preseason game and hasn't played since. He should return to practice next week, but he won't play in the Vikings' third preseason game and is a long shot to play in the preseason finale.
Vikings coach Leslie Frazier seemed confident that Floyd would be ready for Minnesota’s regular season opener, though. The only details the coach divulged about Floyd’s procedure were that it was not arthroscopic and that it was a minor procedure aimed at easing the pain in the front of Floyd’s knee.
Don’t expect to see Floyd on the field in preseason action anytime soon.
