The Giants don't seem too concerned about the injury and expect him to be back in time for the regular season opener. Cruz told NFL.com that he'll be fine "once the swelling goes down" and considers himself day to day. Rueben Randle is expected to start the final two preseason games in Cruz's place.
The third-year receiver recorded 86 catches for 1,092 yards and 10 touchdowns with the Giants in 2012. He signed a six-year deal worth $45.8 million in the offseason after the Giants initially put him on a restricted free agent deal.
