The Jets have reached a deal with wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi, according to a report from Ian Rappaport. Massaquoi signed a two-year contract with the Jaguars in April but was released on August 19.
Mohamed Massaquoi, Jets reach agreement, per report
New York has reportedly signed the recently-released receiver to a deal in an effort to bolster a unit that looks fairly thin with the injury to Santonio Holmes.

The Browns drafted Massaquoi in the second round of the 2009 draft out of Georgia and he caught 34 passes for 624 yards as a rookie, but that has ended up being his most productive season. Massaquoi, 26, has had just 1,121 yards combined over his last three seasons with Cleveland, including just 254 yards in nine games last year.
Jacksonville signed Massaquoi for a deal worth up to $5.6 million but he was not able to make it with the team past two preseason games. The Jets are currently looking for support at receiver with the likelihood that Santonio Holmes will not be ready by the time the regular season starts. Only Stephen Hill and Jeremy Kerley currently have strong holds at a roster spot for New York.
