The Philadelphia Eagles will send running back Felix Jones to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for linebacker Adrian Robinson, the Eagles announced on Twitter. The Steelers had a need for another running back after recently losing rookie Le'Veon Bell for at least six weeks due to a Lisfranc injury.

Jones joined the Eagles in May as an unrestricted free agent after playing five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He failed to climb a crowded depth chart, however, falling behind LeSean McCoy, Bryce Brown and Chris Polk in Philadelphia.
Jones is commonly regarded as a change-of-pace back, but he has a chance to play a significant role in Pittsburgh's running game. Isaac Redman, LaRod Stephens-Howling and Jonathan Dwyer currently top the Steelers' depth chart at running back, but none of the three have done much to impress thus far this year.
Robinson, the new Eagle, has yet to make much of an impact in the NFL. He signed with the Steelers as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2012 out of Temple and appeared in 12 game last season, but all appearances were on special teams according to Adam Caplan.
Steelers blog Behind The Steel Curtain speculates that Robinson fell out favor with the coaching staff during training camp.
