Aaron Rodgers started the game, but left after just one series. Young came in during the third quarter and completed 6-of-7 passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. He added 39 yards on three rushing attempts and showed he still has good athleticism at the age of 30. Head coach Mike McCarthy highlighted his running ability after the game. From the Press Gazette:

“The dimension of running, that’s something we really wanted to see (from Young),” McCarthy said after the game. “I think you’re just seeing Vince getting more and more comfortable with what we’re asking of him, particularly for as much as man-to-man (defense) as we were seeing tonight.”

Young hasn't played since 2011, spending last season out of football after being cut by the Bills in preseason.
