The Washington Redskins remained undefeated in the preseason with a 30-7 victory over the Buffalo Bills that featured a strong showing from third-string quarterback Rex Grossman.
Bills vs. Redskins final score: Washington cruises to 30-7 victory
Rex Grossman and Pat White led a Redskins offense that accumulated 452 yards of total offense against the Bills defense.

The Bills were without Kevin Kolb for the majority of the game after he left with concussion-like symptoms in the first quarter and were instead led by undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel. While Tuel completed 10-of-17 passes for 63 yards, the Bills couldn’t find an offensive rhythm throughout the game and finished with just 155 yards of total offense, compared to 452 for the Redskins.
Grossman completed only 11-of-21 passes in a starting role for the Redskins, including a 7-yard touchdown pass to Pierre Garcon in the first quarter, but his 171 yards passing was more than enough to get the Washington offense started. He was replaced by Pat White, who completed 7-of-14 passes for 96 yards and also ran for 14-yard touchdown.
The Redskins also found success in the running game, as the team’s group of running backs accumulated more than 200 yards rushing against the Bills defense.
