Saints linebacker Will Smith left Sunday’s game with a possible leg injury. He limped into the locker room under his own power.

Smith suffered the injury while falling to the bottom of a pile during a Matt Schaub sack. It appears a player rolled up on his leg. Trainers looked at him for a few minutes before he limped to the locker room under his own power.
Smith recorded six sacks for the Saints last year and is expected to be a key player in Rob Ryan’s switch to a 3-4 defense. The Saints can ill afford to lose one of their few difference-makers on defense.
We’ll update the story when more information is available.
