The Buffalo Bills have traded for quarterback Thaddeus Lewis from the Detroit Lions, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rapoport says that the Lions get third-year linebacker Chris White in return.

The Bills are on the hunt for quarterbacks Sunday. After signing Matt Leinart, they have reportedly traded with the Lions for Thaddeus Lewis. The Lions get linebacker Chris White in return.

Lewis went undrafted in 2010 and was claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Browns in 2011. He spent most of the time inactive, not appearing in a game until the regular season finale in 2012. He completed 22 of 32 passes for 204 yards, one touchdown and one interception in his only NFL action. The Browns waived him in May and the Lions claimed him about a week later.
Lewis may not be much more than a camp body while E.J. Manuel recovers from knee surgery, but he has a chance to see playing time in the final preseason game. Undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel and new signee Matt Leinart are the only other healthy quarterbacks on the roster.
