The San Francisco 49ers blew out the Minnesota Vikings 34-14 in their third preseason game on Sunday night.

The 49ers have one of the deepest rosters in the NFL, and it showed in their win over the Vikings on Sunday night.


Colin Kapernick got the 49ers off to a fast start with a touchdown pass to Quinton Patton that gave San Francisco a 10-0 lead after the first quarter of the game. Patton was so excited about the touchdown that he busted out this touchdown dance:
The 49ers extended their lead when Lavelle Hawkins took a kickoff back the house in the second quarter. Hawkins was almost as excited about his touchdown as Patton was about his:
The day wasn't all bad for the Vikings, though. Christian Ponder was somewhat efficient, throwing for over 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The 49ers' depth showed in the end, and the Vikings got left behind as the 49ers outscored them 14-7 in the second half.
Injury report
49ers running back LaMichael James left Sunday's game with an elbow injury, which wasn't considered a major injury. Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams also left the game with a knee injury.

San Francisco finishes off its preseason schedule in San Diego against the Chargers. The Vikings will play their fourth preseason game at home against the Tennessee Titans.
