Tony Moeaki injury: Chiefs TE has shoulder fracture
Tony Moeaki stealthily suffered a shoulder fracture during the Chiefs’ preseason game Saturday. There is no word yet when he will be able to return.

The Chiefs had seemingly solid depth at the position at the start of training camp. Travis Kelce is dealing with a knee bruise, though, leaving unproven players directly behind Anthony Fasano for the time being. Kevin Brock and Demetrius Harris, a former basketball player, are currently the Chiefs' top backup tight ends, assuming Moeaki is out for at least some period of time.
Moeaki had 33 receptions for 453 yards and a touchdown after missing the 2011 season with a torn ACL. He also had knee troubles while he was in college at Iowa, making Moeaki an unfortunately injury-prone target for the Chiefs. He has flashed solid potential when healthy, however.
Moeaki may be able to play through the shoulder fracture. Chicago Bears running back Michael Bush was reportedly able to do so last season. However, the severity of the injury will determine much of Moeaki's ability to play with it.
