Seahawks roster cuts: Seattle adds players to PUP to get to 75

The Seahawks moved Percy Harvin to the PUP list as one of their final moves to get down to the 75-man roster limit.

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks pared their roster down to the 75-player limit on Tuesday. Unlike most teams up against Tuesday's deadline, however, they made their last four moves without actually having to release anyone from their roster.

The Seahawks played wide receiver Percy Harvin, defensive lineman Greg Scruggs and cornerback Tharold Simon on the reserve/physically unable to perform list Tuesday afternoon, while moving Korey Toomer to the reserve/non-football injury list. The move for Harvin had long been expected, but only became official on Tuesday.

The Seahawks roster wasn't without casualties this week, however, because cornerback Will Blackmon and wide receiver were removed from the roster earlier Tuesday -- the former's contract being terminated and the latter's being waived.

Seattle also waived wide receiver Perez Ashford, linebackers Kyle Knox and Craig Wilkins, tight ends Jameson Konz, Andrei Lintz and Kyle Nelson (who also doubled as a long-snapper) and defensive tackle Martin Parker on Monday while terminating wide receiver Brett Swain's contract and placing defensive tackle Jesse Williams on injured reserve.

The team will have to get its roster down to 53 players by Saturday.
