The Cleveland Browns needed to make quite a few roster moves to get down to the NFL-mandated 75-man roster limit ahead of Tuesday's deadline. The team announced it waived seven players and made two injury-related moves to pare their roster down to the current limit.

The Browns added two players off of waivers on Tuesday, forcing them to move nine players off of the active roster in order to get down to the 75-man limit.

Cleveland claimed outside linebacker Paul Hazel from the Jacksonville Jaguars and former San Francisco 49ers punter Colton Schmidt off of waivers on Tuesday, necessitating nine total roster moves to get down to the 75-man limit.
Montario Hardesty was once thought to be the heir-apparent to the Browns' starting running back position, but he will miss the upcoming season after being placed on the injured reserve. The Browns' other injury-related move put offensive lineman Chris Faulk on the reserve/non-football injury list.
The Browns also waived linebacker Kendrick Adams, offensive lineman Dominic Alford, wide receiver Dominique Croom, defensive lineman Nicolas Jean-Baptiste, fullback Owen Marecic, offensive lineman Ryan Miller and tight end Travis Tannahill on Tuesday.
