The New England Patriots made nine roster moves on Monday and followed those with two more moves on Tuesday to reach the NFL limit of 75 players before the deadline. In total, the Patriots released seven players while placing four more on reserve lists.

The Patriots cut their roster down to 75 players. Tim Tebow, squarely on the roster bubble, was not among the first wave of cuts.

Defensive lineman Cory Grissom and offensive tackle Markus Zusevics landed on injured reserve, while defensive lineman Armond Armstead and wide receiver Mark Harrison were placed on the reserve/non-football injury list. Linebacker and special teams standout Niko Koutouvides was the only veteran released. New England's other cuts included wide receiver Kamar Aiken, cornerback Brandon Jones, cornerback LeQuan Lewis, snapper Mike Zupancic, tight end Evan Landi and defensive lineman Anthony Rashad White.
Alec Shane of Pats Pulpit wasn’t surprised by many of the moves, with the release of Koutovides the most surprising because of his value on special teams. Koutovides, a nine-year NFL veteran, spent the last two seasons with New England. He appeared in 14 games for the Patriots last year, mostly on special teams, and finished with four tackles.
Tim Tebow was not among the players released, meaning he will likely remain on the roster until at least the next wave of cuts is made following the final preseason game. Teams must reduce their rosters to 53 players by Saturday.
