The Steelers thought they solved their running back problem in the draft when they took Le'Veon Bell in the second round. Unfortunately, Bell is out with a foot sprain, so the team is back to using Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer. Heath Miller is expected to be activated from the PUP list before Saturday, but he's nowhere close to game shape yet.
The Panthers' front seven continues to impress in preseason, scoring three defensive touchdowns in their 34-27 win over the Ravens last week. The offense is still a concern, as Cam Newton threw for just 99 yards on 12 attempts. Jonathan Stewart was placed on the regular-season PUP list with an ankle injury, so rookie Kenjon Barner looks to get plenty of snaps in Thursday's game.
