Two touchdowns from third-string quarterback Austin Davis helped lead the St. Louis Rams to a fourth quarter victory over the Baltimore Ravens, 24-21.

The majority of offensive players for St. Louis got the night off, which should have been an opportunity to get a long look at first-round pick Tavon Austin. He didn't get many chances, however, finishing with just 26 yards on three receptions. Instead it was former second-round pick Brian Quick who got the opportunities to shine. Catching passes primarily from Kellen Clemens, Quick totaled 60 receiving yards on five catches. Isaiah Pead is set to be the Rams' lead running back, but had a disappointing game overall. He managed just 27 yards on seven carries.
Baltimore was a shadow of itself, the team's coaching staff deciding to play a team with almost no resemblance to the regular-season squad. Neither Joe Flacco nor Tyrod Taylor played -- putting the role of quarterback on Caleb Hanie's shoulders. The third stringer completed just over 50 percent of his passes, adding a touchdown and an interception. Touchdowns came from running back Bobby Rainey. Although he ran for just 39 yards, he added two touchdowns on the night. The play of young receivers Tandon Doss and Aaron Mellette will be encouraging for the coaching staff, as they combined for 145 yards receiving.
