Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey is "iffy" for the team's opener against the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens on Sep. 5, according to Mike Klis of The Denver Post. Klis says that Bailey's foot injury is one reason why the team kept cornerback Quentin Jammer when roster cuts came around on Saturday.

Bailey has a foot injury and has been wearing a walking boot this week. Back on Aug. 28, Bailey said that his foot is "feeling better," but there is no official word on whether or not he'll be able to play in the opener. Bailey was injured in a preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks, and was seen leaving the stadium on crutches.
The Broncos have long relied on Bailey to lead their secondary. Getting him back for the start of the regular season would obviously be a positive, but if the team is unsure about potentially hurting him further and losing him for any significant amount of time, they might give him some extra time to rest.
We probably won’t know for sure until the game-week practice participation reports start rolling in.
