Reshad Jones will remain with the Miami Dolphins for another four years, as the 25-year-old safety has signed a new $30 million extension, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The extension makes Jones one of the league's highest-paid safeties, with an average yearly salary in line with Troy Polamalu, Eric Berry and Antrel Rolle. It's a reward for a breakout 2012 season that saw Jones finish with 94 tackles, nine passes defended and a team-high four interceptions.
Miami spent a lot of money this offseason to shore up its team, securing wide receivers Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline, while adding middle linebacker Dannell Ellerbe via free agency. Extending Jones ensures continuity in the Dolphins' secondary, even if the team chooses to part ways with Chris Clemons following the 2013 season. Clemons signed a one-year extension this offseason to remain in Miami, but there's no further indication he'll be around past that.
Details of the contract have not yet been released, and should be expected in the coming days.
