Julio Jones injury: Falcons WR will miss preseason opener
Jones is dealing with tightness in his hamstrings and won’t be playing in the Falcons’ preseason opener on Thursday.

Head coach Mike Smith doesn’t think Jones’ injury is serious and says that keeping him out of the game is just a precautionary move. He should be ready to go for the regular season. Jones did deal with hand and ankle ailments last season, though he played in all 16 games.
Jones has been having a tremendous offseason so far, gaining praise from coaches and teammates. He reportedly looks even quicker than he did in his first two seasons. Jones recorded 79 receptions for 1,198 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, and is a good bet to improve on those numbers in his third year in the league.
