Bears vs. Panthers 2013: How to watch online, TV schedule, radio and more
Chicago and Carolina kick off their preseasons Friday night.

The Panthers have one of the NFL’s most dynamic quarterbacks in Cam Newton, but since it’s preseason Week 1, don’t expect to see the Auburn product for more than a couple of series. Carolina is coming off a better-than-expected 7-9 season, and while it likely won’t take the big step and earn a playoff berth, some pundits are predicting a 2013 record in the 8-8 to 9-7 range.
For the Bears, the game marks the first time new head coach Marc Trestman will pace the sideline. Chicago started 2012 off with a band, winning seven of its first eight games. However, the offense faltered down the stretch, and the Bears lost five of their last eight games. Despite a 10-win season, the team missed the playoffs and head coach Lovie Smith was fired. With Trestman, known as an offensive genius, at the helm, management in Chicago expects the Bears to rack up yards and score plenty of points.
