New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is unlikely to play in Thursday night's game against the New York Jets. He was not present at team walkthroughs on Tuesday and will almost certainly be ruled out.
Danny Amendola injury: Patriots WR likely to miss Week 2 with strained groin
Danny Amendola is still dealing with a groin injury and may not play on Thursday night. He was absent from team walkthroughs on Tuesday.

Amendola has been dealing with a groin injury since the preseason. He appeared to aggravate the injury in Sunday's win over the Buffalo Bills, but came back in the second half and gutted it out. Amendola finished the game with 10 catches for 104 yards, and was a key player in the Patriots' comeback.
If Amendola is out, it's another big blow to a Patriots offense already hurting for healthy players. Shane Vereen is out with a broken wrist, and Zach Sudfeld has a hamstring injury. Rob Gronkowski is still expected to be out for at least one or two more games. Rookie Kenbrell Thompkins will have to step up in Amendola's place. He struggled in his NFL debut, catching just four of his 14 targets.
